Welcome to the JumpBox Wiki
A JumpBox is a virtual computer that bundles an entire server based application stack into a single unit that makes it much easier to use. The goal with a JumpBox is to save you as much time as possible by getting you up and running quickly and then giving you all the basic tools that are needed to keep you running. You can learn much more from this page: http://www.jumpbox.com/overview. JumpBox Runtime Documentation We strive to keep JumpBoxes as consistent as possible and each JumpBox is built upon a common runtime platform. The application included in a given JumpBox will vary dramatically from that in a different JumpBox but the way you install, access and manage it will be the same. Info about the JumpBox Runtime Virtualization Platform Documentation JumpBoxes require a virtualization system in order to work. This virtualization could be something you install on your network like VMware or Parallels, it could be hosted by a Hosting provider or it could be an API accessible cloud system like Amazon EC2.
