Upgrading from older JumpBox backups

In order to restore to the JumpBox for SugarCRM 5 version 1.1.16, from JumpBox for SugarCRM 5 versions 1.1.9 to 1.1.15, the following special procedure must be used. Users with backups from pre-1.1.9 JumpBoxes should restore to version 1.1.15 as an intermediary.

• Enable SSH access to your existing JumpBox if you have not done so already. SSH in and run the following command:
  

  sudo chmod -R g+w /var/data/sugarcrm5 /var/data/sugarcrm5/.*

• Perform the upgrade to SugarCRM using the SugarCRM's built in Upgrade Wizard. The following documentation on the SugarCRM site explains in detail how to do so; see the section entitled "Using the Upgrade Wizard": http://www.sugarcrm.com/docs/Administration_Guides/Sugar_Upgrade_Guide_5.5.0Beta2/Sugar_Upgrade.3.1.html
  • You may skip the "Compatibility Matrix for Upgrade" section, and unless you have manually edited the PHP files on your JumpBox for SugarCRM, or used the Campaign Management feature of SugarCRM, you may skip the the "Important Upgrade Information" section. If you have you manually edited the PHP files in your JumpBox for SugarCRM or used the Campaign Management feature of SugarCRM, you must read the last two bullet points of the "Important Upgrade Information" section.

• Now, create a backup from your upgraded JumpBox. We recommend you keep this backup in a separate place from your other JumpBox backups, as any backups generated after step 2 will not work for any purpose other than upgrading to version 1.1.16.
• Boot up a new JumpBox for SugarCRM 5 1.1.16, register it, and restore from the backup you created in step three.
